Jane E. Thibodeau, 94

DOVER - Jane E. Thibodeau of Dover died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. She was 94.

Born in Melrose, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Everett and Catherine Van Veghten.

She was a graduate of the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in Lynn, Mass. and had worked in Nursing until her retirement from Union Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. in 1980.

Mrs. Thibodeau had lived in Sharon Springs, N.Y., until moving to Dover in Sept. 2006.

She had been an active member of the New Rochelle Graduate Nurses Club, where she had served as president from 1957-1959.

Prior to her eyesight failing, she enjoyed knitting and doing word puzzles and enjoyed those moments spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Thibodeau in 1975.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy J. Urick of Dover, Rita Lantz of Ossining, N.Y., Therese Winslow of Sharon Springs, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday at 11 a.m. in the Lloyd Maxey & Sons Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, New Rochelle, N.Y.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle.

Local arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
