Dover - Jamie Lynn Walls went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, in St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington.
Jamie was born Aug. 31, 1960, in Dover, to Bonnie (Shahan) Witt and the late, James Witt. She was a graduate of Lake Forest High School, Class of 1978.
Jamie worked as a delivery driver for Poliseno's Pizza, in Dover, for the past five years; and had also worked as a waitress for Shuckers, in Dover and the Rainbow Inn, in Little Heaven. She was a former member of the Bowers Fire Company Auxiliary, where she served for over 25 years. Jamie liked to train and show horses; enjoyed shopping, tanning, and shooting pool; watching Jeopardy, The View, The Walking Dead, and reality T.V. Shows. But her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandson, Derrick.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leon and Emma (Glanden) Shahan; her maternal great-grandparents, Dewey and Anna (Sherwood) Shahan; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Witt; and paternal great-grandparents, Samuel and Ella Sapp.
Jamie is survived by her two children, Clarence Herbert "C.J." Walls, III; of Harrington and Lynzee Amanda Walls, and companion, Marqueis Shirey, of Lincoln; her mother, Bonnie (Shahan) Witt, with whom she resided; her grandson, Derrick Tyler Sharp; aunts, Linda Hudson and husband, Hank, of Frederica, Beverly J. Shahan, of Harrington, Marielen Littleton and husband, Billy, of Lincoln, Millie A. Boc and husband, John, of Frederica; her uncles, Daniel L. Shahan and wife, Connie, of Dover, Gary Witt, of Dover, and Terry Witt and wife, Terri, of Wyoming; a great-uncle, Kenneth Shahan, of Seaford; nephews, William P. Brown, IV and wife, Erin, of Harrington and Christopher D. Brown and wife, Jenny, of Milton; her niece, Samantha Brown, of Harrington; the father of her children, Buzzy Walls; and her close friends, Holly Castell, of Georgia, Lee Ann Cason, of New Castle and Dustin Sharp and wife, Ashley, of Dover; along with numerous cousins and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may view two hours before. Burial will follow in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
