Galena - James W. Henry, "Butch" passed away suddenly on September 20, 2014 at home. Butch was born on August 5, 1945 in Wilmington, Del., son of the late Charles W. and Thelma Taylor Henry. As a young man he came to live with George and Dottie Long of Earleville, working on farms in the area. He entered the U.S. Army in 1965, serving in Germany and France. After his honorable discharge in 1967, he began his career with Chrysler, retiring in 2009 after 42 years of service. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and enjoyed drag racing, carpentry and visiting the slots. Butch is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Jean Henry; three daughters, Lana J. Luike (Jeff) of Galena, Rhonda L. Miller (John) of St. Michaels, Md. and Lindsay A. Vidal (Corey) of Covington, La.; three sisters, Shirley Williams of Pickens, S.C., Shelva Lewis of Wilmington, Del. and Sherron Long of Newark, Del.; 4 grandchildren, Lauren and Megan Miller, Serenity and Grant James Vidal. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD., where funeral service will begin at 1 pm.
