'Randy' Bellamy, Sr., 76 DOVER - James Randolph "Randy" Bellamy, Sr., of Dover, and Summerfield, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2014. He was born on April 12, 1938, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the late Homer and Cecile Bellamy. He was 76 years old. Randy was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan. Randy proudly served his country in the United States Navy, beginning his career as a Parachute Rigger, until accepting special duty assignments as a recruiter and instructor. He was a man of honor and valor, and made sure to instill these traits in his son, Jim. After 30 years of dedicated service, Randy retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, from Naval Air Station Oceana, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling all over, and playing golf. He was known for his favorite saying, "Have fun… will travel." And that he did. He spent time between his two homes in Dover, and Summerfield, Florida. Randy was a member of several organizations, including the American Legion, VFW, Modern Maturity Center, and his second home, the Spruce Creek Golf and Country Club. Above all, he cherished spending as much time as possible with his family and friends. Randy leaves behind his son, Jim and his wife Tracy; granddaughter, his darling Grace; his loving companion, Sally; and all the friends who touched his life throughout the years. Services are private and will be held at a later date. Randy will be laid to rest at Colonial Grove Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
