DOVER - The memorial service for the late James R. "Jimmy" Woodall, 60, of Dover, will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at El Shaddai Temple in White Marsh, Md. Jimmy died on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Upper Chesapeake Hospital in Bel Air, Md. Born March 12, 1948, in Milford, he was the son of the late Doris and Holland Woodall. Jimmy was in the transportation business for many years. While transporting riders, he loved to talk, listen to music and share his experiences of his walk with the Lord. He also enjoyed traveling going to the movies and studying the word. Jimmy was an active alcohol and drug addiction ministerial counselor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Holland Woodall Jr. of Delaware. Jimmy will be missed by everyone who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Mary Olivia; seven children (five girls, two boys), Yolanda (Yssouf) Kone', Dover, Denise (Christopher) Waters, Baltimore, Nicole Legros, Dover, Alishia (Robert) Schofield, Havre de Grace, Md., Evangela Parks, Havre de Grace, Md., James Vick, Bel Air, Md., and Vernon Parks, Aberdeen, Md.; two sisters, Carol Mattice, Alexandria, Va., and Phyllis (Allan) Brown, Dover; five brothers, Reginald (Gloria) Woodall, Larry (EarlLou) Woodall of Delaware, Kenneth (Karen) Woodall of Pennsylvania, Donald Woodall of New York, and Tony Woodall, Texas; sister-in-law, Emma Woodall; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven sisters-in-law; and a host of uncles and aunts; godchildren, cousins, his spiritual family members and friends. The service at El Shaddai will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Local arrangements were by Lisa Scott Funeral Home, Havre de Grace, Md.
