HARTLY - James Paige 'Archie' Cook, III, of Hartly, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family, and loving wife of 20 years, Doris. Archie was born, May 13, 1951 in Williamson, W.V., to the Late Eleanor (Manning) Murphy and James Paige Cook, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Sawyer) Cook; a daughter, Melanie Cook of Pontiac, Mich; five grandchildren, Dylan, Christian, Justin, Leon, and Jarod; his sister, Belinda Trudell and her husband Ron, of Waterford, Mich; and a niece, Emily. Archie loved spending time with his family. He attended Southside Baptist Church when well enough, and witnessed for the Lord till his final breath. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
