MAGNOLIA - James "Jim" Joseph Frisa passed away Thanksgiving morning at 3:42am, November 25, 2021, at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital.
Jim was born August 29, 1964, in Long Island, New York to Antonio Frisa and Rosemarie Frisa (Sperduti).
Jim was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he played electric guitar in the worship band and played on the softball team for many years.
Jim was very proud of his career in which he helped many people. He was a Nationally Board-Certified Acupuncturist and practitioner of Esogetic colorpuncture. He was licensed and board certified in Florida, Delaware and North Carolina. He opened his first practice in Dover, Delaware in 1997 where he spent his time healing and helping people with holistic medicine.
Jim absolutely adored his family, loved spending time with his wife, daughter, grandson and dogs. Jim was a diehard New York Yankee fan, he shared a deep love of baseball with his grandson, Raiden, and helped coach his grandsons little league teams. Jim was a martial arts practitioner for over 20 years, he and his wife, Carol were both second degree blackbelts in Shito-Ryu Karate which they shared a passion for, and he was a bluebelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was a UFC fanatic and loved to watch every UFC fight with his daughter, Rachael, and Randy Sheets, his grandsons' father, who he had loved like a son, mentored, and exposed to BJJ. They never missed a fight.
Jim loved traveling with his family especially to the mountains of Tennessee and Douglas Lake where he loved driving the pontoon boat. He was crazy about going to North Carolina to visit his family.
Jim was a loving, compassionate, caring and fiercely protective family-man who did everything for his wife, daughter and grandson, as well as other family members. He was a huge propionate of helping fellow man, especially the homeless and animal rescues.
Jim was God fearing, Jesus following honest man.
He was preceded in death by grandparents on both sides; his loving brother-in-law, Tommy; & various pets.
Jim is survived by his parents, Antonio Frisa and Rosemarie Frisa of Ft Meyers, Fla.; his loving wife of 34 years, Carol Frisa, of Magnolia, Del.; his daughter, Rachael Frisa of Dover, Del. and her fiancé Douglas Hunt, of Dover, Del.; grandson, Raiden Sheets of Dover, Del.; Goddaughter, Shainna Ebison of Winston-Salem, N.C.; six sister/brother-in-law's; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held with a viewing at 10 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Del.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Multiple Myeloma/Cancer Society, homeless shelters or Animal Rescue of your choice.
