James "Baby James" Ernest Finney Sr., 62
MILLSBORO - James "Baby James" Ernest Finney Sr. of Millsboro passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 62.
He was born in Millsboro, the son of the late James Henry and Mary Harmon Finney.
Mr. Finney was a retired truck driver, having worked for Townsends for 25 years, S&R Distributors for 10 years, and was currently an employee of Stockley Center on medical leave.
He was a member of Bible Church of Christ, Dagsboro.
Mr. Finney was a loving man, a loving father, a loving grandfather, and a loving friend.
He was a wonderful singer.
Mr. Finney is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ethel Collins Finney; two sons, James E. Finney Jr. and his wife, Celestine of Columbia, S.C. and Darrus Finney of Millsboro; three daughters, Delia Hall and her husband, Timothy of Millsboro, Jacqueline Hudson and her husband, William of Selbyville, and F. Melody Edme of Boston; two brothers, Robert Mannings of Dover, and Simon Mannings of Millsboro; one sister, Joann Thompson of Millsboro; a godson, Julian Coffee; two special aunts, Jennie "Tinky" Hitchens and Blanche "Sickie" Miller; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Tempestt, William III, Mylez, Ashia, Jameelah, James III, and Darneeka; one great-grandchild, Tyleta; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Wednesday in the Bible Church of Christ, Diamond Acres, Dagsboro.
A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro and one hour prior to services at the church.
Elder Edward Cannon will officiate.
Interment will be in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
