KENTUCKY - James E. Loper, of Kentucky, and formerly of Dover, died from injuries sustained in a truck accident in Indiana on July 27, 2011. He was 51. James was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Dover. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army for 10 years. He enjoyed restoring cars and driving. As an ordained minister, he loved to share in the Lord. He most recently was able to fulfill his passion by traveling as an over the road truck driver and see the beauty of God's creation along the country roadways. James was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Loper, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Ardessa Deputy and stepfather Albert of Dover; father, George W. Loper of Dover; four brothers, Donald Loper, Michael Loper, Carlas Fisher, and Daniel Bell; two sisters, Pasqulita Candelairo, and Joann Tilghman; brother-in-law, Samuel; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and his companion, Crystal Lovett of Kentucky. Services will be noon, Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Greater Life Christian Church, 240 Headstart Lane, Dover. A private burial will be at a later date in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
