DOVER - Jacqueline D. Pulling passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, one month before her 91st birthday.
Jackie was born in Lansing Michigan, daughter of George P. Dunlevy Sr. and Helen (Cady) Dunlevy. Jackie graduated from Jackson, Michigan high school in 1948 and Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1952 as a Registered Nurse.
She married her husband Richard in 1952. They lived in Miami, Fla. and Burlington, N.C. for several years and settled in Dover, Del. in 1967. Over the years Jackie worked as a nurse at Kent General Hospital, DAPI, Inc., Playtex and ILC Industries. Jackie and Richard started HPS, Inc., a Delaware postcard and souvenir business, in 1972 and operated the business for over 25 years. Jackie loved camping, traveling, and spending time at the beach and she was active with the Kent County Republican Committee and Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard C. Pulling Sr.; and her son, David B. Pulling; as well as her parents and sibling.
She is survived by her son, Richard C. Pulling, Jr. and wife Tracy Walls-Pulling of Middletown; grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Jonathan and Whitney-Marie; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on August 5, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E Lebanon Rd., Camden. Friends may gather from 5 p.m. until service time. Interment of ashes will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware COPS, PO Box 430, Dover, DE 19903.
