HARTLY - Jackie W. Robinson, 78, of Hartly, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at his home with family. He was born on Sept. 25, 1932, in Oriental, N.C., to the late William and Mary Perry Robinson. He worked at DAFB in civil service for over 50 years. He was a USAF Korean war veteran. He attended Hartly United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, and hunting. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Thomas Robinson of Hartly; son, Dale Robinson of Hartly; daughter, V. Lynn Lowman of Moore, Okla.; daughter, Susie Weeks of Canterbury; sister, Ester M. Rice of North Carolina; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be private.
