Ira Joseph "Joe" Conaway, 54
LINCOLN - Ira Joseph "Joe" Conaway of Lincoln passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, in his home. He was 54.
He was born in Milford, son of the late William and Mary (Carey) Conaway.
Joe was employed at the Shawnee Country Club in Milford for the past eight years.
He enjoyed going to the slots and watching football, NASCAR and professional wrestling.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Conaway and Charlie Carey; and a sister, Betty Carey.
He is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Carey, Harry and Sharon Carey, all of Milford, and Donald and Mary Carey of Bridgeville; a sister, Mary Carey of Milford; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Wade, who cared for him.
A graveside memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slaughter Neck Cemetery, Argos Corner Road, Milford.
Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
