Ingrid S. Yankwitt, 69

DOVER - Ingrid S. Yankwitt, of Dover, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 69.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1938, in Germany, daughter of the late Heinrich and Margaret (Rommel) Schiffhauer.

Ingrid had worked as a cosmetologist for Paree Claire Beauty Salon at Carroll's Corner in Dover for 18 years retiring in 1998.

She later enjoyed life as a homemaker.

Her hobbies included teaching Hebrew classes at the synagogue in Panama City, Fla.

Ingrid was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Yankwitt, on Dec. 29, 1993.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Yankwitt and daughter-in-law April of Dover and Frank Yankwitt and daughter-in-law Beverly of Dover; five grandchildren, Melissa Yankwitt and Edward Yankwitt Jr., both of Dover, Robin Price and her husband Jamie of Newark, Brian Potter of Newark and Melissa Smith and her husband Jessie of Magnolia; and two great-grandchildren, Xavier Logan Callicoat, and Randi C.S. Price, both of Newark.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Rabbi Brian Eng will officiate.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
