Ina Kathleen Allen, 86

MAGNOLIA - Ina Kathleen Allen, of Magnolia, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 86.

She was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Troutville, Va., daughter of the late James and Mattie (Wright) Boothe.

Kathleen was a seamstress of an apparel company and later enjoyed life as a homemaker.

She was a member of the Willow Grove Church of God, the Women of The Church of God, The Modern Maturity Center and also Harvest Years Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra T. Allen; and a grandson, Jonathan Allen.

She is survived by her children, James Ezra Allen of Roanoke, Va., Linda Lois Hancock of Stewartsville, Va., Ina Kay Elkins of North Charleston, S.C., Patricia Ann Graham of Roanoke, Va., Betty Lou Boothe of Roanoke, Va., Sandra Eve Welsh of Magnolia, Ronald David Allen of Middletown, Rita Faye Chestnut of Hot Springs, Va., and Alvin Wayne Allen of Harrisonburg, Va.; three brothers, Harold Monroe Boothe of Troutville, Walter Lee Boothe of Daleville, Va., and James Edward Boothe Jr. of Martinsville, Va.; two sisters, Clara Frances Greene of Troutville, and Betty Ann Koger of Martinsville; grandchildren, Joseph Allen Crawley of Roanoke, Benjamin Allen Crawley of Roanoke, Tabitha Lynn Welsh, Tara Marie Welsh, and James Michael Welsh, all of Magnolia, Sarah Beth Brown of Dover, R.T. Hopkins, Jacob Steele, both of Newark, Maggi Steele of Middletown, Catherine Elizabeth Chestnut and Joshua David Chestnut, both of Hot Springs, Cheyenne Kincaid, Christopher Michael Allen and Matthew David Allen, all of Alma, Mich.; great-grandchildren, Deborah Crawley and Jacob Crawley, both of Roanoke, Amanda Hopkins, Brittney Hopkins and Jacob Wesley Steele, all of Newark, Destiney Steele of Middletown and Shane Matthew Brown of Dover.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. this evening in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Willow Grove Church of God, Willow Grove.

A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Mt. Jackson Cemetery, Mt. Jackson, Va.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Willow Grove Church of God, 90 Honeysuckle Road, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.
