VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Ida Mae Willey Achy of Virginia Beach, formerly of Okeechobee, Fla. and Seaford, Del. died Monday, May 14, 2007, in Virginia Beach Health Care. She was 92.
Mrs. Achy was born in Galestown, Md., daughter of the late Alice Wheatley and Ralph Willey.
She was a beautician.
Mrs. Achy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Okeechobee and Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, Seaford. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Seaford Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Cleaver Achy in 1982.
She is survived by a son, Michael Achy of Okeechobee; a daughter, Judith A. Tillotson of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Edna Massey of Seaford and Kathleen Collins of Rhodesdale, Md.; two grandsons, Jeff Hughes and Joel Hughes; and three great-granddaughters.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Blades Cemetery, Blades, Del. The Rev. Thomas Gross will officiate.
