SEAFORD - Howard S. Davis, age 84, of Seaford, died on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011. Mr. Davis owned his own trucking business for over 50 years. His hobbies were stock car racing, NASCAR and wood crafting. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joyce; daughters, Brenda Tucker and her husband Butch, Karen Hastings and her husband Kelly; daughter-in-law, Joann Davis; six grandchildren, Sami Jo Davis, Donnie Grant and wife Sharon, Kara Ann Short and husband, Timothy, Jennifer Rose West, Cody West, J.J. West; five great-grandchildren, Rodney, Crystal, Evan Breann and Dawson; five step-children, Larry Gray, Steve Gray, Gail Dunn and husband, Bob, Cindy Leonard and her husband Bill and David Gray and his wife Crystal; 14 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Beatrice Humphreys and two nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Davis; a son, Sammy Davis; and his parents, Larry and Jenny Davis. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made to the Church of Nazarene, 25668 Faith Lane, Seaford, DE 19973.
