THOROFARE, N.J. - Howard Dukes Jr. of Thorofare died Monday, June 4, 2007, at his home. He was 75.
Howard was born in Frankford, Del., on Nov. 23, 1931, son of the late Howard and Ethel (Hudson) Dukes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, in 2005; four sisters, Carrie Reighn, Helen Dukes, Jeannett Loveland and Edna Hitchens; and a brother, Arthur Dukes.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Wanda Wilkerson and her husband Donnie of Parsonsburg, Md.; a brother-in-law, Sonny Reighn, and his son Willie Reighn, both of Woodbury, N.J.; a niece, Pat Hitchens Bunting and her husband Randall, and their daughter Kelly, all of Frankford; his nephews, Bud Dukes and Wayne Dukes, both of Laurel; and a nephew, Vincent Hitchens and his wife Nancy, and their children Brian and Amanda, all of Frankford.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be in Pittsville (Md.) Cemetery.
