Hiroko 'Penny' Cameron, 77 NEWNAN, Ga. - Hiroko "Penny" Cameron, of Newnan, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. She was born to the late Tokube and Yao (Takashita) Dote. She was 77. Mrs. Cameron was a native of Japan, where she met the love of her life, Ivan Cameron while he was serving in the Marines while stationed in Japan. They were married and had their first daughter Cheril while in Japan. They then moved to the United States and lived in Delaware for many years. She was not only a mother to her daughters but also a dear friend who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Cheril O'Brien and Peggy Rusich both of Newnan; two sons-in-law, Larry O'Brien and Clinton Rusich; grandchildren, Alan Corbette Jackson, Cameron Jackson, Nicholas O'Brien, Alexis O'Brien and Breaux Rusich; and a sister, Kikumi Heinbaugh of Portersville, Calif. Mrs. Camerons family will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be sent to the fmaily online at www.mckoon.com. The family will receive friends on today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Memorial contributions to Elim Baptist Church Building Fund.
