Henry Coleman Rowell, 59

TOWNSEND - Henry Coleman Rowell, of Townsend, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 59. Henry Coleman Rowell was born June 21, 1949, in East Tallassee, Ala., to the late Lloyd Wilbert and Rosie Lee Rowell (Fitzpatrick). At an early age his family moved to Reading, Pa., where he lived until the age of 6, then moved to Townsend. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Cynthia; their son, Grafton of Delaware; mother and father-in-law, Rebecca and Storer Parker of Townsend; one aunt, Ruth Wharton of Delaware; sisters, Rosemarie H. (Dave) Williams of Delaware, Alama Jean Bonom of Ohio, Shirley Harris, Annette Rowell, Belissa (Matt) Howard, all of Alabama, Gatha Holloway, Sharon (Marvin) Arrington, Marie (Edrick) Claytt, all of Georgia; brothers, Lloyd W. (JoAnn) Rowell of Pennsylvania, Ronald Hill of Delaware, Eric (Ellicia) Rowell, Danny (Shanette) Rowell of Georgia, Demtrius (LaKimberly) Rowell of Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, a great-great-nephew, and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 14, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover. The public viewing will be held from 8-10:45 a.m. The family viewing will be from 10:45-11 a.m. with the services following at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Sharon Hill Memorial Park in Dover, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Delaware Hospice Inc. 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to the American Cancer Society.
