FELTON - Hendrikje "Henny" Wolters, of Felton, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at home. She was 71. Mrs. Wolters was born April 9, 1939, in Hardenberg, Netherlands, to the late Albert de Jonge and Jentje ten Kate - de Jonge. In the Netherlands, she was a nurse and after immigrating here in 1961, she was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. She had an incredibly strong faith and was a member of the Bethel Wesleyan Church in Goldsboro, Md. Mrs. Wolters enjoyed stamp collecting, reading and was always collecting food/clothing items for others. Her mission in life was nurturing others. She was down to earth, fun, and an exceptional wife, mother, and friend. Mrs. Wolters is survived by her husband of 49 years, Hero of Felton; son, Luke Wolters and his wife Page of Flanders, N.J.; daughter, Jenny Wolters of Three Bridges, N.J.; brothers, Henk and Geert de Jonge; sisters, Johanna de Jonge, Grietje Becker in the Netherlands; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Lindsey Conners; and special friends whom she considered family, Stephen and Tina Gary. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at the Bethel Wesleyan Church, 435 Main Street, Goldsboro, MD 21636. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in her memory to the Bethel Wesleyan Church, 435 Main Street, Goldsboro, MD 21636. Letters of condolence may be sent to Torbert Funeral Chapel.
