HARTLY - Helen Marie Goldsborough Bentz passed away on October 8, 2021.
The daughter of Homer and Miriam Goldsborough, she grew up on the Goldsborough farm in Smyrna, Del. and graduated from Smyrna High School. She worked many years as a waitress. She most recently loved working at Byler's Store.
Helen was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved teaching Sunday School and enjoyed Judo and sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Roger Goldsborough of Georgia; sister, Marlene Goldsborough of Middletown; and brother, Donald Goldsborough of Smyrna; her children, Steven (Billie Jo) Bentz of Dover, Heather (Dan) Brennan of Smyrna, Daniel (Naomi) Bentz of Hartly, and Naomi Bentz (Sam Marple) of Dover; and her grandchildren, Crystal, Hannah, Hunter and Danny.
Funeral services will be held at Faries Funeral Home in Smyrna, Del. on October 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Faries Funeral Home.
