Helen M. Gunter, 79
MARYDEL, DE - Helen M. Gunter passed away, Friday, January 13, 2023, at home.
Mrs. Gunter was born July 11, 1943, in Fairdale, West Virginia to the late John Andrew Farley and Birdie Ethel Smith Farley.
She was a bookkeeper for Gunter Construction for 35 years. She enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Temple Church.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Gunter, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Eugene F. Gunter and his fiancé Penny of Marydel, DE; daughter, Mary Carpenter and her husband Jeff of Felton; a special son, Marvin Demby and his fiancé Lisa of Hartly; sister, Alice Holt and her husband Scott of Stafford; grandchildren, Rodney Shane, Simmons and Bret and Samantha Carpenter; special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held 11AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, MD.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to your local SPCA.
