MILTON - Helen J. (Miller) Walls, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center. She was 76. Helen was born in Bishop, Md., daughter of the late James E. Miller and Minnie Lee (Hudson) Miller Carpenter. She was owner and operator of Walls Corner Shop, for 17 years. Helen enjoyed family get-togethers, traveling, fishing, being outdoors, playing cards and Bingo. She and her husband spent their winters in Florida and enjoyed summers at Trails End in Chincoteague, Va. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Earl M. Walls, Jr.; two daughters, Earleen K. Bunting and husband Donald and Robin L. Clendaniel and husband Charles; three grandsons, Derek M. Bunting and wife Jessica, Tyler Lee and Sean M. Clendaniel; a brother, Robert Miller and wife Gloria; sister, Gwendolyn Bunting and husband Harold; and several nieces, nephews and extended family whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2011, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, with visitation after 1 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christian radio station, 88.7 The Bridge, PO Box 680, Milford, DE 19963.
