GEORGETOWN - Helen J. Darling of Georgetown passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. She was born in Orange, Va., the daughter of the late Samuel Wade Kinzer and Nellie Violet (Fletcher) Kinzer Scott. She had worked at Perdue for 19 years before retiring due to disability. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy E. Blackburn; and a brother, Wade Fletcher. She is survived by her son, Thomas W. Darling; three sisters, Barbara Kinzer, Shirley Arno, and Frances Fee; four brothers, Marshall Fletcher, Sam Kinzer, William Amos and Warren Kinzer; a grandson, Brandon; two granddaughters, Kim and Amber; and a great grandson, Kurtis. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 32827 Old Stage Road, Laurel, DE 19956. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church or the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
