Helen 'Toots' Hitchens, 73

SEAFORD - Helen "Toots" Hitchens, of Seaford, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in Seaford. She was 73.

Mrs. Hitchens had worked for Laurel Shirt Factory, Britts Dutch Inn in Laurel and at the Lakeside Deli in Laurel.

She is survived by her husband of more than 33 years, Wayne E. Hitchens; five sons, Joseph R. Ferrell and his wife Evelyn Faircloth, Frankie "Dale" Farrell, Thomas "Jimmy" Ferrell, Robert "Bob Lee" Ferrell and his fianee Sandy Haines, all of Seaford, and Eddie Ferrell and his wife Sue of Delmar; two daughters, Trudy White and her husband Jessie of Lincoln and Cathy Downs and her husband Doug of Laurel; a sister, Margie Ferrell of Laurel; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Blades Cemetery.
