Smyrna - Helen Elizabeth Urian passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Pinnacle Health Care of Smyrna. Mrs. Urian was born August 10, 1925 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Augustus and Clara Pernol. Helen was a proud homemaker who loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Benjamin, Charles, George and Robert Pernol; her daughter, Mary Louise Potzer; and her grandson, David Bailey. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Bailey and her husband Larry of Smyrna, Charlotte Traverse of Smyrna and Fay Lawrence and her husband John of Townsend; her son, Thomas Urian of Dover; her grandchildren, Karen Jones, Janet Leskovar, Debbie Lawrence, John Lawrence, Hope Lawrence, Amber Urian, Danielle Urian and Donna Urian; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at 5 pm on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 6 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Chapter, 240 N. James Street, Suite 100A, Wilmington, DE 19804.
