DOVER - Helen C. Frazer of Dover died Wednesday July 18, 2012 in Courtland Manor. Mrs. Frazer was born Mar. 19, 1914 in Chesapeake City, Md., to the late Frank S. Clayton and Mary (Mamie) B.C. Cooling Clayton. Prior to her marriage in 1946 to Sgt. Joseph H. Frazer, II U.S. Army Air Corps, she was a secretary in the Patent Department of DuPont Nemours and Co. in Wilmington. During her husband's military career she was fortunate enough to accompany him on his various tours of duty, which included assignments to the Special Air Missions (Sam) Squadron at Washington National Airport and the SHAPE Liaison Group at Orly Airport, Paris France. Upon their return to the United States in 1955 their assignments were Andrews AFB, MD, McChord AFB, Tacoma, Washington and Dover AFB where he retired in 1963. Mrs. Frazer loved gardening and raised beautiful vegetables and flowers. She also did cross-stitch, embroidery and finished many lovely articles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frazer in May of 1994. She is survived by two sons, Joseph H. Frazer, III and his wife Joyce of Wyoming, Del., and James C. Frazer and his wife Nancy of Dover, Del.; four grandchildren, Evan C. Frazer and his wife Tricia of Garner, N.C., Erina Frazer of Dover, Del., Heather Frazer of Cambridge, Md., and Laurie Wahl of Edmond, Okla.; and five great grandchildren. Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901 or Arthritis Foundation, 100 W 10th St, Ste 1015, Wilmington, DE 19801.
