Heather Michelle Ridgway, 41
DOVER, DE - Heather Michelle Ridgway passed away Monday, February 27, 2023.
She was born January 11, 1982, in Dover, Delaware to Floyd Ridgway and Dinita Carney.
Growing up, Heather loved horseback riding and excelled at softball - playing for Dover Little League, Dover High School and several travel teams.
In her twenties, Heather was a proud member of Cheswold Connection Ford Racing team and could often be found in the pits supporting her father (Perky Ridgway) at the drag strip.
Heather worked for several local restaurants, often in management due to her hard work ethic, and welcoming personality.
She loved all genres of music, fashion, and dancing but travel, adventures, and camping with family and friends were her favorite.
To her, it was family first over everything and often she was subjected to being her nephew's toy.
Heather never met a stranger that she would not one day call a friend. She was a beautiful soul with an infectious smile and laugh.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cordelia and Charles Rochford; and paternal grandparents, Anna Bea Sammons and Floyd "Perk" Ridgway; and her uncles, Alan Silberski, Mike Ridgway, Ronald Johnson, Warren Pritchett Sr.; and her cousin/sister, Alex Rochford.
