FREELAND, Md. - Hazel W. Riley of Freeland died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care, Towson, after a short illness. She was 92.
Mrs. Riley was born in Rising Sun to John and Carrie (Miller) Weir. She married Terrence Riley in the 1940s and moved to Harrington. She moved to Maryland to live with her daughter in 2001.
She worked at Doris's Beauty Shop in Dover for many years. After retiring, she loved to volunteer at the Harrington Senior Center.
Mrs. Riley enjoyed traveling and cooking.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Patrick Rissmiller of Freeland; two granddaughters, Shannon Koontz and her husband Philip of Baltimore and Shana Rissmiller of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a great-grandson, Shawn Patrick Koontz of Baltimore.
There will be a viewing on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, 6 Dorman St., Harrington, Del., from 11 a.m. to noon.
Graveside services will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington at 1 p.m.
