Hattie M. Baker, 87 DOVER - Hattie M. Baker, 87, of Dover, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010, at her home. She was born on Sept. 16, 1922, in Allentown, Pa., to the late Joseph Ziegler and Jennie Maxwell. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Dover. She was in the U.S. Marine Corps as corporal in World War II. She was a teacher in the Caesar Rodney School District. She enjoyed trips to the beach, going snow skiing, and playing golf. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. Baker; and a son, Douglas Mitchell "Mitch" Baker. She is survived by son and his wife, Michael Sr. and Vickie Baker of New Castle; daughter, Patty Baker of Dover; grandsons, Mike Baker Jr. of Arizona, and Sean Baker of Delaware; granddaughter and her husband, Wendy and David Stamilio, M.D.; great-granddaughter, Angela Marie Stamilio; great-grandson, Anthony David Stamilio, all of Missouri; niece, Lois Frank; nephew and his wife, Ron and Linda Ziegler, all of Pennsylvania; and special caregiver, Melissa M. Greening of Dover. Remembrance services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, at Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Alzheimer's Association Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
