SMYRNA - Harvey Glenn McNatt passed away on Sept. 8, 2016. He was born April 13, 1930 in Dover, the son of the late Harvey and Katherine McNatt. Harvey retired in 1991 after 35 years as an Auto Mechanic for the Delaware State Police. He was an active member of the Smyrna-Clayton Jaycees, the Smyrna-Clayton Little League, and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Smyrna. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family and friends. He loved woodworking and had his own handyman service called Keppy's Karpenters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helene K. McNatt; his daughter, Karen K. McNatt; and his brother, Russell W. McNatt. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Cecilia R. McNatt. He is survived by his son, Glenn A. McNatt and his wife, Jo Ann, of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Jason H. McNatt and his wife, Molly, of Smyrna and Aron W. McNatt, also of Smyrna; his sister, Joyce Eaton, of Christiana; and four great-grandchildren, Jason H., Jacob H., Lilah I. and Tanner H. McNatt, all of Smyrna. He is also survived by two stepchildren, Skeeter Houseman and his wife, Sandy, of Marydel, and Cecilia and Joe Grillo, of New Jersey; and two step-grandchildren, Brock and Lauren Houseman. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to Peace Lutheran Church, 5048 Wheatleys Pond Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
