Harvey Andrew "Andy" Jackson
DOVER - Harvey Andrew "Andy" Jackson of Dover passed away on Tuesday evening, May 15, 2007, in his home in Dover after a 19-month battle with brain cancer. He was 33.
Andy was born Oct. 24, 1973, in Willow Springs, Mo., son of Betty E. (Thompson) Jackson and the late Edward Stonewall Jackson Sr.
He attended Lake Forest High School and graduated from the James E. Grove Adult Education School.
In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Douglas and Emma Thompson; his paternal grandmother, Anna K. Jackson; and two nephews, Daniel Jackson and Edward S. Jackson III.
Andy is survived by his partner of 11 years, William "Bud" Glacken of Dover; his mother, Betty E. Jackson and her husband, Richard A. Jackson Sr. of Felton; a sister, Marlene L. Cox of Dover; two brothers, Edward S. Jackson Jr. and his wife, Jackie of Felton and John C. Jackson and his wife, Dawn of Goldsboro, Md.; a paternal grandfather, Ralph K. Jackson Sr. of Millington, Md.; two stepsisters, Rita M. Cannon of Millington, Md. and Elizabeth A. Simmons of Marydel, Md.; a stepbrother, Richard A. Jackson Jr. of Marydel, Md.; three nieces, Rebekah L. Cox of Dover, Melanie M. Jackson and Megan M. Jackson of Felton; four nephews, Edward S. Jackson IV of Felton, Mark A. Cox Jr. of Dover and Hayden C. Jackson and Koen A. Jackson of Goldsboro; and 14 aunts and uncles and 23 cousins.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Logan Funeral Home, 57 Eagle Road Havertown, Pa., where friends and family may call starting at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pa.
