Harry F. Bush

SMYRNA - Harry F. Bush, of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Pinnacle Health Care in Smyrna. He was 86. Mr. Bush was born June 20, 1924, in Wilmington, to the late Mitchell and Myrtle Bush. He served his country honorably during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force, where he was awarded 5 citations for exceptionally meritorious achievement while participating in bomber combat missions over enemy occupied Continental Europe. Mr. Bush had a great interest in the US Air Force. He most recently enjoyed his morning coffee at McDonalds with his buddies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine D. Bush in 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Diane B. Blake of Smyrna; a grandson, Steve K. Blake of Elkton, Md.; two granddaughters, Kim D. Blake of Milford, and Christine A. Blake of Middletown; and six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Olivia, Tony, Steven, and Kyle. A visitation will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
