Darby Jr, 75 LAUREL - Harry 'Elliott' Darby Jr, died on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. Mr. Darby retired from Allen's Milling in 1999, he then worked for the state driving a bus at the Cape May Lewes Ferry and worked for Credit Plus. He was a licensed Funeral Director in Delaware and had been a Coroner in the 1960s. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Norma "Peggy" Carter Darby; two sons, Eric and Patrick Darby; a daughter, Renee Thompson and her husband Steve; four step-children, Charlie Marvel and his wife Denise, Gail Horsey and her husband Steve, Charlene Wildonzer and her husband Keith, Marlene Spicer and her husband Mark; 21 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet Bredbenner and her husband, Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry E. Darby and his wife Dorothy Dodd Darby; a step-daughter, Lisa Pink; and a grandson, Keith Rogers. Funeral Services will be on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 1 p.m at the CRANSTON FUNERAL HOME, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 12 to 1. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel, DE. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Delaware Hospice Inc, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
