MILFORD - Harriett E. Coates of Milford passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at the Milford Center. She was 92.
Harriett was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late William and Odessa (Evans) Bullock.
She was head secretary for Home Insurance Co., Wilmington, for many years and retired several years ago.
Harriett was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in Roselle.
She enjoyed sewing and sending cards.
Harriett loved brightening others' days whether it be by passing along a handmade item or sending a card to let one know she was thinking of them.
In addition to her parents, Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Coates.
Harriett is survived by a brother, Bill Bullock and his wife Faye of Milford; a niece, Dawn Hastings; and a great-nephew, Joshua Hastings.
A funeral service will be at noon on Monday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Wilmington.
