Harold Robert Johnson

(Buddy) Johnson, 64 MILFORD - Harold Robert (Buddy) Johnson passed away on Sun., Apr. 21, 2013 at Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford. Buddy was born in Milford the son of the late Leslie and Ann Demmey Johnson. He was a mechanic for 45 years retiring in 2010. He was a member of Milford Moose and the Ellendale V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, working on cars and spoiling his grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Johnson; and sister, Patricia A. Hilton. He is survived by his ex-wife, Katherine Hopkins of Williamsville; daughter, Maryann Parker and husband Thomas of Milford; sisters, Mary Fuller of Ind. and Nancy Austin and husband Joe of Dover; brothers, William Johnson and wife Betty of W. Va. and Frank Johnson and wife Rose of Houston; grandchildren, Brian Messick of Woodside, Ashley Phelps of Milford and Amanda Cole of Woodside; two great grandchildren, Elon Phelps of Dover and Jeremy Phelps of Dover. Funeral services will be held Fri., Apr. 26, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Casual dress requested. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
