Harold George Lindale

Harold George Lindale, 79

CRISFIELD, Md. - Harold George Lindale of Crisfield, formerly of Harrington, Del. died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in his home. He was 79.

Mr. Lindale was born July 29, 1927, in Frederica, Del., son of the late George Edward and Ruth Reynolds Lindale.

He was a retired Trouble In Service employee with Delmarva Power.

He was an avid camper, and enjoyed volunteering and helping others.

Mr. Lindale was a member of Mariners United Methodist Church, Crisfield, Chesapeake Masonic Lodge 147 AF&AM, where he was past master for many years, the former Chesapeake Chapter 28 Order of Eastern Star where he was past patron, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Eastern Shore Shrine Club, Boumi Temple and the Somerset County Chapter of AARP.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Lindale.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie Aptt Lindale; two children, Jean L. Service and her husband, Tom of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Mike Lindale and his wife, Debbie of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Dawn Martin, Jennifer Service, Michael Lindale and Matthew Lindale; two great-granddaughters, Mikayla King and Gracie Martin; a sister, Virginia Clendaniel and her husband, Calvin of Lincoln, Del.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and a Masonic Memorial Service were Dec. 30, 2006, in Mariners United Methodist Church, Crisfield.

Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford, Del.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.

Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, Crisfield.
