GEORGETOWN - Harlan H. Bryan, 89, a lifetime resident of Georgetown died Monday, November 17, 2014. Mr. Bryan was born in Seaford, October 5, 1925 to the late Carl C. Bryan and Helen G. (Lloyd) Bryan. He was a member of Georgetown Community Church. He retired in 1992 after working as a heavy equipment operator with the State of Delaware Fleet Service, the Soil Conservation District and Melvin Joseph Construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Dorothy (Callaway) Bryan; two brothers, Robert and Henry Bryan; a niece and nephew. He is survived by his sister, Anna Mae Truitt and her husband George; four nieces, Mildred Bryan, Joan Hurlock, Carol Ratcliffe, Carol Heck; and two nephews, Wayne Neal and Jimmy Neal. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown where friends may call at 12 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to American Cancer Society. P.O.
