Queen Anne - H. Wayne Bramble passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Hospice of Queen Anne's in Centreville, Md., surrounded by his loving family. Born in Easton, Md. on November 28, 1940, Mr. Bramble was the son of the late Homer F. Bramble and Anna L. Mills, and stepfather Lockwood Mills. Wayne graduated from Easton High School in 1958. After graduating, he joined the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he returned home and worked for his family painting company. He then worked at the Easton Memorial Hospital and became the supervisor of painting at Nanticoke Homes. On October 14th, 1960, he married the love of his life, Mildred Lee Hollingsworth. The couple made their home in and near Queen Anne for the past 54 years. Wayne loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and crabbing. He was an exceptionally talented waterfowl carver who painted and carved beautiful decoys. He also loved spending time with his family. Wayne was a member of Duck's Unlimited, the Hillsboro-Queen Anne United Methodist Church, and was a past member of the Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company. Wayne is survived by his wife, Mildred Lee Bramble; two sons, Thomas W. Bramble (Jeanie) and David L. Bramble (Clara), both of Queen Anne; a brother, Ronald L. Bramble (June) of Harrington, Del.; a brother-in-law, Thomas M. Hollingsworth, Jr. (Joyce) of Queen Anne; and three grandchildren: Tommy, Jr. and Taylor of Queen Anne, and Spencer of Stillwater, Okla.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Kay L. Cannon. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 28th, in the Greenmount Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Hillsboro. An old family friend, Reverend Abraham Ellison, will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 6 until 8 on Monday evening at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton. If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to the Hospice of Queen Anne's, Inc., 225 Comet Drive, Centreville, Md. 21617 or to the Hillsboro-Queen Anne United Methodist Church, PO Box 267, Queen Anne, Md. 21641.
