H. Raymond Poore Sr., 61 HOUSTON - H. Raymond Poore Sr., of Houston, died Dec. 26, 2009. He was 61. He was born on Jan. 2, 1948, to the late Wilson and Martha Poore. He worked for Callis Thompson as a professional welder. He was also a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534. Mr. Poore loved to work on and restore old chevys and Allis Chalmers tractors. He was known for the work he could do, there was not an old tractor or chevy that he could not get to run. Mr. Poore earned quite a few trophies from tractor pulls and car shows over the years. He was a loving husband and best friend of 42 years, loving father and grandfather who loved to spoil his grandchildren "Bobby & Angelbug." Mr. Poore had a great sense of humor even throughout his illness. He will be missed by everyone including his special companion Harry. He was survived by his wife, Carolyn Poore of Houston; son, H. Raymond and Darlene Poore Jr. of Harrington; daughter, Bobbie Jo and Rob Pearson of Harrington; brother, Elwood "Woody" and Linda Poore of Houston; grandkids, Lauren, and Roby Pearson; and his favorite companion, dog Harry the mini-dachshund. Funeral Services were Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Melvin Funeral Home. Milton Kemp officiated. Interment in Hollywood Cemetery. Contributions can be made to: Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Hwy., Dover 19901.
