MELBOURNE, Fla. - Gwen went to be with the Lord peacefully in her home Oct. 26, 2017. Gwen is survived by her husband, Richard C. Day, of Melbourne, Fla.; son, David J. McNatt (Stacey) of Hartly; son, Jeremiah W. Day; and daughter, Sarah E. Day both of Melbourne, Fla.; three sisters, Lori Zimmerman (Dan) of Dover, Juanita Clendaniel of Milford, Pamela Love (Lewis) of Palm Bay, Fla.; and two brothers, Herbert Clendaniel, Jr (Colinda) of Hartly, and Gerald Clendaniel (Cynthia) of Palm Bay, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Shawn Rene and Isaac Zimmerman of Dover , Frankie, Chase and Hanna Love of Weatherford, Texas, Melissa Lucas and Joshua Clendaniel of Hartly, Skylar and Cheyne Johnson of Palm Bay, Fla. Gwen was born Aug. 31, 1955 in Dover, to Herbert, Sr. and Myrtle Clendaniel of Hartly. Gwen was an ordained minister in the states of Delaware and Florida. She ministered in churches, and was a keynote speaker in women's conferences from Maine to Virginia before moving to Florida in 2005. She served at Destiny Christian Church, Dover, in 1985 - 2001. Her gifts were administration, prophetic ministry, counseling, sacred dance, choreography, and singing songs from the Lord. She loved the Lord, her husband and children with all her heart. She loved family gatherings and laughter. She was our special treasure from the Lord. The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at Destiny Christian Church, 2161 Forrest Avenue, Dover, DE 19904. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. and the Memorial Service at 1 p.m., with a meal following the service. Interment took place Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. Placement of Gwen's urn in the Columbarium.
