LEWES - Gregory Wilson Williams, age 57, of Lewes, passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born March 31, 1953, at the Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Mr. Williams graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law. He practiced law for 32 years and was a member of the Delaware Bar. Most recently he operated the Gregory Williams Law Firm in Rehoboth Beach, and was of counsel for the Moore & Rutt firm of Georgetown. Gregory was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, and until recently, a member of the Rehoboth Beach County Club. Gregory's interests included genealogy and antique maps; he co-authored a book on maps with one of his under graduate college professors. He was a member and a good friend of Camp Pecometh serving in his younger years as a camp counselor. Mr. Williams is survived by his parents, Cary and Hilda (Austin) Williams; his aunt, Mrs. Wilma Flood of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and numerous cousins. His caregiver for the past six years has been Ms. Samette Hitchens. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. Fourth Street, Lewes, the Rev. Fred A. Duncan and the Rev. George Godfrey will be officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private in Manteo, N.C. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Camp Pecometh & Retreat Ministries, 136 Bookers Wharf Road, Centreville, MD 21617; or to Multiple Sclerosis National Society, Delaware Chapter, 2 Mill Road, Suite 106, Wilmington, DE 19806-2175.
