Grayce Runyard Weber, 82
HARRINGTON - Grayce Runyard Weber of Harrington died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Harrington, after a long illness. She was 82.
A native of Sullivan, Wis., Mrs. Weber spent a year in California, where she graduated from Berkley High School.
She met her husband, the late Dr. Howard Weber in Sullivan. They traveled to Simsbury, Conn., on their honeymoon, and resided there for 36 years. After spending four years in Puerto Rico, the Webers moved to Harrington in 1986.
Mrs. Weber had been an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Harrington, singing in the choir and working on the Altar Guild.
An avid reader, she also had many talents including sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and needlepoint. Many of her creations were displayed at the Delaware State Fair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard O. Weber, in 2004.
She is survived by three children, Dorothea G. Weber-Duffy of Sunnyside, N.Y., William H. Weber of Waltham, Mass., and Sara J. Weber of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two granddaughters, Alissa A. Duffy and Cathryn E. Duffy.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce St., Harrington.
Eucharistic mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 190 Raughley Hill Road, Harrington.
Burial will be in Simsbury.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 190 Raughley Hill Road, Harrington, DE 19952; or to the Harrington Library, 110 E. Center St., Harrington, DE 19952.
