MILFORD - Ret. Col. Gordon Stewart Pink, USAF, 77, of Milford, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pink was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the son of the late Stewart and Thelma (Traudt) Pink. He served in the United States Air Force for 32 years before retiring as a Colonel. He had the opportunity to fly 23 different airplanes throughout his career. After retiring from the Air Force, he went to work at Berry Van Lines in Dover where he worked for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Military Officers Association, the Deadalians and was a mason. He loved to spend time with his family and especially enjoyed his trips to Disney. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gertraude; his eight children, Diane Martorano and her husband Matt, of Louisville, Ky., Debbie Musumeci and her husband John of Salem, N.J., Ray Pink and his wife Cindy of Milford, Bryan Pink and his companion Drew of Millsboro, Doreen Houser and her husband Larry of Milford, Dale Pink of Milford; and Schatzie and Princess; 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Melissa, Ashley, Tony, Nicole, Robin, Megan, Justin, Christopher, Cameron, Lara and Brittany; and two great-grandchildren, Kendley and Brianna. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel of the Dover Air Force Base, Hawthorne Drive and Lebanon Road, Dover AFB.
