Gordon B. Zdana, 71 VIOLA - Gordon B. Zdana, of Viola, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008. He was 71. He was born April 21, 1937, in Ridley Park, Pa., to the late Jack and Marion (Bennett) Zdana. Gordon served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Master Printer at SAC Headquarters in Omaha, Neb. Gordon was a paid up for life member of Walter L Fox Post 2 serving as Commander and various other offices. He was a life time member of the Camden-Wyoming VFW Post 3238. He served proudly on the Fox Post 2 Post Memorial Team and was Chef de Garre in the 40 et 8. He also held many positions in the 40 et 8 as well. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Irene Zdana; daughters, Cathy Snyder of Woodside and Cheryl Zdana of Felton; grandchildren, Christopher Zdana of Morrisville, N.C., and Mary Olson of Woodside. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible contributions may be made to: Walter L. Fox Post 2, The American Legion, 835 Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901; or Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue, P.O. Box 1737, Dover, DE 19903.
