Gloria J. Schaum, 65

VIOLA - Gloria J. Schaum, of Viola, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her home. She was 65. Mrs. Schaum was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Philadelphia, to the late Leonard and Eleanor McCollough Freiheit. She was primarily a homemaker and shared her husband's street rodding hobby, crocheting, and spending time with grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Theodore and Charles Schaum. Mrs. Schaum is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ted Schaum of Viola; two daughters, Terry Chrislip and husband Bill of Clayton, and Tracy Scott and husband Joe of Cheswold; three grandchildren, Brent, Danica and William; brother-in-law, Charles Schaum of Bensalem, Pa.; brother, Leonard Freiheit of Florida; and two sisters, Diana Lavelle of Florida and Sandy Lineman of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, where friends may call two hours prior. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
