DOVER - Gloria Agnes Thomas passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was born Jun. 23, 1931 in Chester, Md. to the late Francis Thomas and Agnes Clough Thomas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Dover and Gideon's International Women's Auxiliary In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Thomas and Jack McGee and sister, Joan Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alfred Bailey Thomas, JR., of Dover; children, Phyllis Glass (Dennis) of Harrington, Alfred B. Thomas, III (Andi) of Clear Springs, MD, Deb Valainis (George) of Stevensville, MD and Pauline Wikso (Bob) of Camden; brothers, Bill McGee (Shelley) of Merced, CA and Ron Thomas (Connie) of Gold Canyon, AZ and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12PM, Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE., 10 A.M., Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.
