Gladys Schiff, 91

HARRINGTON - Gladys Schiff, a lifelong resident of Harrington, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Milford. She was 91.

She was born in Ludlow, Pa., to the late Louis and Christina Gerardi.

Mrs. Schiff was a homemaker.

In her spare time she enjoyed crafts and cooking.

Her family looked forward to the meals that she prepared.

Mrs. Schiff was a loving and faithful woman to her family and also to her church.

Mrs. Schiff was a member of the Women of the Moose, a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and a member of the St. Bernadette Columbiettes.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter A. Schiff; brothers Ernest, Albert, Louis Jr., Emil, Tony and Samuel Gerardi; and sisters Lena Gerardi, Carmella Trotta, and Alva Voss.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. James W. and Carol Schiff of Frederica; sister, Rose Trotta of Baltimore; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington, where friends may call one and a half hours prior to the service.

Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon St., Harrington, DE 19952.

Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
