Gilbert John King Jr., 82

Gilbert John King Jr. of Millsboro died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in his home. He was 82.

Mr. King was the son of the late Gilbert and Ruth Abrams King of Wilmington.

He was a retired truck driver and a retired security guard with Delaware Technical & Community College and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Johnson; and a son, Gilbert S. King.

He is survived by his wife, Claire Blaisdell King; a son and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey J. and Jacqueline King; a daughter, Betty Edge; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, William A. Johnson and his wife, Faye.

Services and burial are private.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.
