'Miss P' Parsons, 96 DOVER - Gertrude A. "Miss P" Parsons passed away at Kent General Hospital in Dover on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. Mrs. Parsons was born Sept. 1, 1916 in Upland, Pa. the daughter of the late George and Althea Parsons. She retired after many years of work as a Book Keeper for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. Gertrude enjoyed big band music, and she loved her two little dogs; Lady and Ginger. She volunteered her time with the Dover Police and later with Modern Maturity until close to 90 years old. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edna L. Brown. She is survived by her sister, Margaret P. Phillips; brothers, Walter G. Parsons, George Parsons, and David G. Parsons; and a number of nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna.
